About david williams
“As the Stomach Turns”. This was the title of David’s first radio play, penned when he was a sixth grader growing up in Corvallis, Oregon. He and his friend Steve provided the voices, although, in reality, David hogged the mic the entire show. Before that, David was never cast as a character in a play…he was always cast as the narrator. Growing up an Oregon State Beaver fan, David screamed a lot as a youth. This set the stage for some strong pipes as he got older.
David graduated from Oregon State with a BS in Journalism and a BS in Broadcasting. Yes, there’s a lot of BS involved there. He was a DJ for the school radio station and would often provide the voice over for his fellow students’ video projects. “Hmmm…” David thought. “I like this …and people keep asking me to do it.” In the years since, as a video editor, a night supervisor at a large Midwestern editing facility, as a freelancer in Chicago and Portland, as a tape room operator, as anything he’s ever done, David has always been spending time behind the microphone and recording scripts for students, friends, clients and money. He loves it and wants to do more of it. Please. Indulge him. |
